Vice President Constantino Chiwenga met with Egypt’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Salwa Mowafi to discuss activation low-cost housing cooperation memorandums of understandings between both countries.
During the meeting the two also discussed aspects of cooperation between Egypt’s New Administrative Capital and the Zim Cybercity, located in Mount Hampden.
Mount Hampden is the location of the new parliament building, gifted by the government of the People’s Republic of China to the Zimbabwean people.
The pair also discussed other issues of mutual interest, such as joint projects in both countries, and a cholera vaccine shipment that Egypt had provided to Zimbabwe, in cooperation with Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to fight a current outbreak.
VP Chiwenga re-extended his invitation to Egyptian investors and companies to explore and take up opportunities in Zimbabwe.
Amb Mowafi confirmed Egypt’s commitment to furthering bilateral ties to achieve progress for African nations.
