Two NetOne employees disappeared from work in Gokwe after allegedly stealing US$94 793 from the company.
Midlands provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said Codesser Moyo, 35, of Dzivaresekwa in Harare and Fungai Daka, 37, of Warren Park D, Harare have been missing since November 18, 2023.
Moyo was a customer care representative while Daka was a supervisor at Gokwe town NetOne Shop.
The duo disappeared during a financial reconciliation done by NetOne Commercial Manager and Loss Control Officer from Harare.
It is alleged that the two allegedly defrauded their employer of US$94 793 between October 13, 2023, and November 18, 2023.
A reconciliation team was sent to the branch and noticed inconsistencies.
“We are appealing to members of the public who might have information on the whereabouts of the suspects to approach any police station, or call Detective Assistant Inspector Kamangira on 0772881353 or CID Gokwe on Landline 055259 2687,” Insp Mahoko said.
