A man, who allegedly assaulted a woman leading to her death, has been denied bail.
Spencer Muvhami, 33, appeared before magistrate Dennis Mangosi at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with murder.
He was ordered to apply for bail at the High Court and will appear in court on May 5, for his routine remand.
The State, through prosecutor Dzidzai Josiah, alleges that on February 5, at Bond shops in Mt Pleasant, Harare, Muvhami and the now-deceased were at Bond shops and they had a misunderstanding, leading Muvhami to assault the now-deceased, resulting in her collapsing.
She was taken to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals by her relatives, where she was admitted.
She later died on February 22.
