The Zanu PF Manicaland provincial leadership is facing criticism for allegedly receiving bribes to incorporate alleged fraudster Moses Ruwona into its ranks.
Sources told Zim Now that Ruwona gave provincial members $500 each so that he can be co-opted without following due procedure.
The sources also alleged that two party politburo members (names supplied) who held a meeting with Ruwona last weekend were reportedly given US$20 000 to ensure that the co-option is not withdrawn by the politburo when it is challenged.
“They are two PB members who had a meeting with Ruwona who were given US$20 000 to make sure that his co-option will not be withdrawn,” a source told Zim Now.
Zim Now has seen a letter from concerned Zanu PF members and the sources says that it has since been sent to national chairperson Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, who referred the matter to the secretary-general Obert Mpofu.
