The OK Grand Challenge Promotion, set for Borrowdale Racecourse this Saturday, has ignited excitement within optimistic shoppers and entertainment lovers as preparations reach final days, ending the two months-long anticipation.

This year’s event that has seen many changes from prize pool valuation of over US$1 million, increased participating outlets from 52 up to 60, to a record 50 brand new vehicles that include the grand prize, a Ford Ranger XLT, will be a choice spoiler for entertainment lovers and shoppers.

OK Zimbabwe Marketing Director, Stanley Meck, promised wonders, excitedly expressing joy over how big the event has become over the years.

Meck revealed that the retail outlet has pressed on against a challenging year, noting that OK Zimbabwe will donate a charity car to Emthunzini Wethemba Children’s Home in Bulawayo .

He also added that this year will see the second year running of inclusion of OKMart that has taken the number of participating outlets up to 60.

“With a purse valued at over US$1 million and supported by over 40 different household Zimbabwe brands, the OK Grand Challenge has held its own against a tough year for formal retail business,” said Meck.

“The fact, that together with our suppliers, we are able to mobilise prizes worth one million in a tough year for retail, shows that we don’t pay lip service to deliver value to our shoppers, we actually put our money behind our promises,” he added.

The retail outlet is one of the biggest in Zimbabwe, celebrating a rich legacy of over 80 years in the retail business, with an operating capacity of over 73 stores nationwide.
