Two men who were allegedly part of a gang that went and robbed the complainant US$1 200 have bee taken to court.
Taurai Venge, 32, of Warren Park D, Probity Ndlovu, 28, and David Zungura, 33, of Unit O Seke Chitungwiza, appeared at the Harare Magistrates' Courts charged with robbery.
The State alleges that on June 25, 2924, at around 0040 hours, the accused persons together with other accomplices who are yet to be arrested, broke into the complainant's house, Walter Malunga armed with a knobkerry and knives.
They allegedly entered into through the kitchen door which they forced open using an unknown object.
The accused persons then held Malunga and his wife, tied their hands with shoe laces.
The accused entered into a the bedroom searched the whole house and stole US$1 200 which was under the mattress.
The court heard that they stole a phone, tablet and car keys of Malunga's car, a Honda Fit which they later dumped in the yard.
A total of US$1 350 was stolen and Malunga reported the matter to the police.
The accused persons were remanded in custody.
