Wesley Chideme, a renowned life coach, entrepreneur, and leader, has carved a remarkable career path driven by his passion for empowering individuals and fostering personal growth. His journey, marked by resilience, determination, and a deep commitment to helping others, has made him a respected figure in Zimbabwe and beyond.
Growing up in a broken family and raised by his grandmother, Wesley learned the value of resilience and determination from an early age. These experiences shaped his empathetic approach to coaching, as he explains, "My upbringing taught me that everyone has the potential to overcome challenges and create a meaningful life. My goal is to help others see that potential within themselves."
Wesley's coaching philosophy is centered on empowerment, personal responsibility, growth, self-awareness, and purpose. He believes that by providing clients with a holistic approach to personal development, they can achieve lasting change and success. As he puts it, "My role as a coach is to guide and support clients as they navigate their own journey of self-discovery and growth."
Among his many accomplishments, Wesley is the founder of Chivero Team Building Centre, a highly sought-after training facility in Zimbabwe. Since its establishment in 2018, the center has served over 450 groups and more than 20,000 individuals, offering life coaching sessions and leadership training. "Creating Chivero has allowed me to reach more people and make a tangible impact in their lives," Wesley says. "It's a testament to the power of community and the importance of investing in personal growth."
In addition to his coaching practice, Wesley has made a name for himself in the business world. As the founder of a leading travel agency and CEO of Africa Tours and Safaris Pvt Ltd, he has received numerous local and international awards for his contributions to the tourism industry. For him, success is an ongoing process of growth and improvement: "I believe that success is measured by becoming better than you were yesterday. It's about continuous learning and striving to be the best version of yourself."
He attributes much of his success to the support and guidance of his mentors, tutors, and support staff. He highlights the International Christian Mentoring Fellowship as playing a pivotal role in shaping his understanding of his calling. Additionally, he acknowledges his personal resilience in staying focused and committed to his purpose, especially during challenging times.
Dedicated to continuous learning and growth, Wesley emphasizes the importance of reading books and staying up-to-date with the latest articles in his field. He said, "Reading is a crucial part of my daily routine. I dedicate at least an hour to expand my knowledge and stay connected with my peers around the world."
For aspiring life coaches, Wesley offers valuable advice: "First, understand yourself, discover who you are, your purpose, and your calling. Identify your niche target, get proper training from reputable organizations, gain practical experience, and develop your skills."
Looking ahead, Wesley aims to establish Life Skills centers across all ten provinces of Zimbabwe, expressing his hope that life coaching will one day be integrated into the school and university curriculums.
He believes that everyone can benefit from having a life coach to lead a more fulfilling life. In his words, "Corruption and drug abuse are everyday news because these individuals lacked a life coach. By making life coaching more accessible, we can help address these issues at their root."
