An 18-year-old man, 18, of Marlborough, has appeared at the Harare Magistrates' Courts facing rape allegations.
The accused person raped their tenant's 14-year-old daughter.
The accused who was coming from home will appear in court on November 26, 2024.
The State alleges that on September 9, 2024, in New Marlborough, Harare, the complainant was passing through the accused person's door and he called her into his room and complainant she went into his room and while sleeping on his bed naked.
It is alleged that the accused then instructed her to close the door using the sofa which was at the back of the door.
He then called her to join him on the bed and she joined him.
He then told the complainant that he wanted to have sexual intercourse with her and she denied.
It alleged that the accused advanced to the complainant, grabbed her and raped her without protection.
The accused person's wife opened the door and found her seated on the bed, later on she left the room while he was arguing with his wife why she had entered the room.
The wife told his mother and she called complainant's mother and informed her about the case.
The court heard that the accused person confessed to having sexual intercourse with the juvenile to his mother and the complainant's mother.
