The National Democratic Working Group is gearing for a national people's convention, due to be held very soon in the country, the Job Sikhala-chaired organisation has resolved.
This emerged following the NDWG's executive meeting in Masvingo on Saturday, which also saw the redeployment of top officials.
In a statement, the NDWG said it had adopt the white, red, and black colours as its identity.
"It was also resolved that the NDWG shall adopt the white, red, and black colours as its identity with the white colour being dominant," reads the statement in part.
While the national chairperson and chief facilitator remains former Zengeza West legislator, Sikhala, Dr Wurayayi Zembe, hitherto the head of political affairs, becomes facilitator for the Northern Region.
Zenzo Nkomo is now facilitator for the Southern Region, which comprises Bulawayo; Matabeleland North and South, Midlands and Masvingo provinces.
Harare, Manicaland, Mashonaland Central; Mashonaland East and Mashonaland West provinces fall under the Northern region.
Pinius Dambuza is now head of Political Affairs Department. Nkomo, Dr Alexander Chauke, Ambassador Tafadzwa Munjanja, Pilot Dube, Herbert Mhange and Jenny Chimange were seconded to the NDWG Convention Fundraising Committee.
The NDWG was established soon after Sikhala, who was the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change deputy national chairperson, was released from Chikurubi Maximum Prison, where he had spent 595 days.
The NDWG leadership stressed at its formation that it was not a political party.
One of its core mandates on its formation was to embark on a consultative process with the people nationwide, gathering key resolutions on what they wanted in redefining the country's political, economic and social thrust.
The consultative process, which began last year, was expected to lead to the national convention
