A 68-year-old man has been arraigned to court for raping an 8-year-old juvenile.
Moses Jimu, 68, of Dzivarasekwa 1, appeared at the Harare Magistrates' Courts facing rape allegations.
He was ordered to approach the High Court for bail.
The State, through prosecutor Tawanda Nyandoro, alleges that on October 7, 2024, the complainant was going to a borehole with her niece.
It is alleged that Jimu then called her and dragged her into his house then started fondling the complainant's chest and her private part.
He allegedly then told the complainant to remove her pants and the accused dropped his trousers and pants to kneel level and he made the complainant to sleep whilst facing upward and allegedly raped her.
The complainant narrated her ordeal to her friend and filed a report.
