A high-profile member of the Toita Basa Housing Cooperative is facing serious legal trouble after being accused of fraud and illegal development. Job Fundikwa, 47, of Stoneridge, was recently arrested and charged with two counts.
The State alleges that Fundikwa, along with two accomplices still at large, defrauded desperate home seekers by selling stands on land that was not legally zoned for residential development. The accused allegedly used stands 7860 and 10236 in Stoneridge Township to lure unsuspecting victims.
Fundikwa appeared before Harare Magistrate Dennis Mangosi and was remanded in custody.
