The Speaker of Zimbabwe's National Assembly has said there are many opportunities for Indian investor to take up in Zimbabwe.
Adv Jacob Mudenda was speaking during a meeting to discuss strengthening bilateral trade and investment with India’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Shri Bramha Kumar.
He encouraged Indian investors to explore opportunities across Zimbabwe’s economy, specifically in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, agriculture, and energy.
The Indian embassy recently hosted a delegation of business people seeking partnerships in various sectors in Zimbabwe.
Ambassador Kumar in turn, highlighted India’s commitment to fostering growth in Zimbabwe, mentioning India’s ongoing projects such as the establishment of 17 Indo-Zim Technological Centres funded by Indian grants.
India’s total investment in Zimbabwe currently stands at approximately USD 600 million, encompassing sectors like technology, skills development, and renewable energy.

The ambassador spoke on the recent inclusion of the African Union in the G20 under India’s 2023 presidency.
He reiterated India’s focus on expanding trade between the countries through stronger government and business partnerships.
