Scotland has secured the sole ticket to join the Premier Soccer League (PSL) after the Northern Region Soccer League (NRSL) disciplinary committee dismissed Karoi United's appeal against the decision to award Scotland a 3-0 scoreline win in their abandoned match.

The match, which was played at Chikangwe Stadium on September 15, was abandoned due to violence. However, the NRSL disciplinary committee subsequently awarded Scotland a 3-0 win, citing Karoi United's alleged failure to provide a safe and secure environment for the match.

Karoi United lodged an appeal against the decision, arguing that the disciplinary committee's ruling was unfair and unjust. However, after careful consideration, the appeal has been dismissed, paving the way for Scotland to secure the 3-0 win and the sole ticket to join the PSL.

In a press statement, the NRSL disciplinary committee stated: "After careful consideration of the appeal lodged by Karoi United, the disciplinary committee has decided to dismiss the appeal. The decision to award Scotland a 3-0 scoreline win in the abandoned match remains in place.

"We understand that this decision may be disappointing to Karoi United and their supporters. However, we believe that the decision is fair and just, and reflects the circumstances surrounding the abandoned match.

"We would like to thank Karoi United for their cooperation throughout this process, and we look forward to continuing to work with them in the future."

The decision has sparked debate among football fans and pundits, with some arguing that the disciplinary committee's ruling was too harsh, while others believe that Karoi United were rightly penalized for their alleged failure to provide a safe and secure environment for the match.
