In a move that has sparked intense debate, Republican Congressman Andy Ogles has introduced a resolution to amend the US Constitution, paving the way for President Donald Trump to serve a third term. The proposed amendment aims to revise the 22nd Amendment, which currently limits a president to two terms in office.

Ogles argues that the amendment will allow Trump to sustain his "bold leadership" for America, following his victory in the 2024 presidential election. Trump had hinted at running for a third term, and this move seems to be a direct response to his ambitions.

However, the path to amending the Constitution is daunting, requiring a two-thirds majority in both the House and Senate. The proposed amendment has already sparked controversy, with many questioning the motivations behind the move.

In related news, Trump has been making headlines with several key decisions. He recently pardoned 23 anti-abortion activists, including some convicted of blockading a reproductive health clinic and intimidating staff and patients. The pardons were issued on the eve of the annual March for Life anti-abortion rally in Washington DC.

Additionally, a judge has temporarily blocked Trump's executive order aimed at changing birthright citizenship, which was set to take effect in February. The order is among several executive actions signed by Trump on his inauguration day
