Bulawayo giants Highlanders are on the verge of securing the signature of Warriors U-20 attacking midfielder Mafious Junior Chihweta on a three-year deal, Bhora Afrika can exclusively reveal.

According to sources close to the negotiations, the "deal is done".
Nicknamed Sugar, Chiweta is joining Bosso from Bulawayo's Ajax Hotspur where spent six months at the club.
The 19-year-old winger has caught the eye of Highlanders coach Kelvin Kaindu, who is rebuilding the squad for the 2025 PSL season following the departure of key players, including Lynoth Chikuhwa, Peter Muduhwa, Marvelous Chigumira, and Godfrey Makaruse.
Chihweta was a member of the Warriors U-20 squad that impressed during the AFCON qualifiers in South Africa last year.
This means Chihweta will reunite with his national teammates Prince Ndlovu and Mvelo Khoza who were part of the U-20 squad and are already in Bosso's setup.
