Defending Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions, Simba Bhora, are adopting the underdog tag ahead of their top-of-the-table encounter against high-flying MWOS at Wadzanayi Stadium this afternoon. Despite being second on the log, three points behind MWOS, Simba Bhora coach Joel Luphahla believes being seen as underdogs will take pressure off his team and allow them to play freely.
Simba Bhora have made Wadzanayi Stadium a fortress, losing just once since the start of last season. Luphahla is hoping to continue this trend against MWOS, saying, "We have started well at home, and we hope to keep the same. I have been telling my boys that the match is just like any other home match, and we need to approach it the same way."
MWOS, on the other hand, have been the talk of the town, undefeated in seven outings with five wins and two draws. However, Luphahla is undaunted, saying, "Well, it is what it is. They have started the season strongly, and they have been the talk of town... it takes pressure away from my boys, allowing them to play freely."
Simba Bhora has a clean bill of health, save for midfielder Liberty Chakoroma, who has a long-term injury. With their sights set on a win against MWOS, Simba Bhora will look to make the most of their home advantage and prove their doubters wrong.
Saturday's Fixtures
