In a heartwarming display of community engagement, influential businessman and ZANU PF Central Committee member, Kuda Tagwirei, pledged to fund scholarships for 20 underprivileged students at each of Masvingo's tertiary institutions during an outreach program held at Masvingo Polytechnic.

"Education must be a right, not a privilege," Tagwirei declared to a cheering crowd. "We will ensure that 20 students at every tertiary institution in Masvingo who cannot afford fees will have their tuition fully paid. Let no young person be left behind."

The initiative aims to uplift disadvantaged youths across the province, promoting inclusive development and equitable access to education. Analysts praised the gesture as a lifeline for thousands of students in Masvingo struggling to pay fees.

In a notable remark, Tagwirei playfully referred to Obey Chimuka, the owner of Fossil Contracting, as "Chigananda," sending the crowd into stitches. "His success is not only a result of hard work but also a reflection of our people's industrious spirit," he said, praising Chimuka's deep cultural and social roots in Zimbabwe's traditional communities.

The scholarships and public acknowledgments are part of a renewed push by senior ZANU PF figures to strengthen grassroots connections while promoting youth empowerment through education. Youngwomen4ED, led by ICT minister Tatenda Mavetera, played a crucial role in the successful event.

As the community comes together to support one another, Tagwirei's pledge serves as a beacon of hope for underprivileged students in Masvingo. The initiative's impact will undoubtedly be felt for years to come, empowering young minds and fostering a brighter future for the region.
