Bulawayo Chiefs goalkeeper Matripples Muleya has been named the Southern Region’s Goalkeeper of the Month for August, in recognition of his impressive performances between the posts.
Muleya, a consistent presence in the Chiefs’ backline, earned praise from his club for his commitment and resilience. “Huge congratulations to Matripples Muleya. Your hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed,” the club said in a statement.
The accolade comes at a crucial point in the season as Bulawayo Chiefs continue their pursuit of the top spot in the Southern Region league.
The team currently sits in second place with 48 points, trailing log leaders Nkayi United, who hold a commanding 13-point advantage.
