HARARE International Conference Centre will on November 8 come alive when some of Zimbabwe’s top female artists take to the stage for the Nubian Notes Concert, a women’s night event celebrating the rise of female voices in music.
The concert, running under the theme “Mambo Kadzi , The Rise of Her Sound”, will feature performances from Tamy Moyo, Shashl, Feli Nandi, Nisha TS and Gemma Griffiths.
Concert organiser Zaza Mashwede said the show is meant to give recognition to female musicians who continue to make waves in the local and regional music scene.

“Nubian Notes is more than just a concert. It is a platform to celebrate women in music, their creativity, their resilience, and their contribution to shaping Zimbabwe’s soundscape,” said Mashwede, who is working in partnership with Gateway Stream Media.
The event is set to bring together different genres ranging from Afro-fusion and R&B to soul and pop, giving audiences a blend of rich and diverse performances.
“This is a night where women take centre stage. We are proud to see leading female artists sharing one stage, showcasing their craft and proving that women are driving the growth of our music industry,” Mashwede added.
The concert is being billed as one of the biggest all-female headlined shows of the year, placing the spotlight firmly on women’s arts.
