Delta Injects US$35 Million into New Bulawayo Brewery Expansion

Delta Corporation has launched a US$35 million expansion of its Belmont Brewery in Bulawayo, amove aimed at reindustrialising the city and strengthening Zimbabwe’s beverage production capacity.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday morning, Delta Corporation Board Chairman Todd Moyo described the project as both a “tribute to our legacy and an investment in our future.”

The new brewhouse will include a second packaging line, fermentation vessels, and ancillary equipment, with the brewery’s capacity expected to increase to 1.5 million hectolitres per year.

“This project reconnects with our history and heritage as this site, which dates back to 1950, carries the company symbol and name of the Sable House Head Office in Harare,” Moyo said.

“By investing here again, we reaffirm our faith in this great city — its people, its talent, its industrious spirit, and its future as Zimbabwe’s industrial heartbeat.”
