A 36-year-old Marlborough man has appeared in court accused of beating his wife with a stick and fists after accusing her of gossiping about his sisters.
Prince Honde appeared at the Harare Magistrates’ Court facing domestic violence charges. The complainant is his wife, Natasha Gatsi, 31.

The court heard that on October 8, 2026, at around 3.30pm, the couple were at their residence at Chigumira Farm Compound discussing their social life when Honde allegedly accused Gatsi of gossiping and shouting at his sisters.
A misunderstanding reportedly followed, during which Honde allegedly assaulted his wife several times with a stick, open hands and fists, striking her across the body.
Gatsi sustained a swollen face and reported the matter to the police, leading to Honde’s arrest.
He was remanded out of custody to a later date for trial. The State is expected to produce a medical report detailing the complainant’s injuries as evidence.
