Another dark shadow has fallen on army side Black Rhinos following the announcement of the death of yet another soccer player for the club.
Goal-keeper Simbarashe Nkosi reportedly passed on early Saturday morning, January 7, owing to a chest infection.
His death comes just two days after another key player on the ladies’ side, Black Rhinos Queens, Rufaro Machingura, died.
Nkosi was destined to make his debut at Black Rhinos in a few weeks’ time when the 2023 soccer season kicks off. Having been signed from Zimbabwe Prison Services side, Tenax, in 2021, he immediately went for military training.
But that was after he had scooped the 2015 Eastern Region goalkeeper of the year award, and was influencial in the team gaining promotion into the premiership that same year. Burial arrangements are yet to be disclosed.
