Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe has officially opened a new branch in Masvingo, marking another milestone in its nationwide expansion drive.
This latest addition follows the recent launch of the Chiredzi branch in September, bringing the bank’s total branch network across the country to 18.
Nelson Muhau, Stanbic Head of Personal and Private Banking, highlighted that opening branches in Masvingo and Chiredzi provides convenience to clients who prefer in-person interactions while still using mobile banking for daily tasks.

“The opening of the Masvingo branch demonstrates that the Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe brand is growing as we venture into these untapped geographic areas. This allows us to reach a wider target market and enhance our market share,” said Muhau.
Both the Masvingo and Chiredzi branches cater to personal and business customers. Other services include a round-the-clock ATM for withdrawals and deposits using Stanbic Visa, Mastercard, and Zimswitch-enabled cards.
He added that the branches will also offer personalised financial advice and advisory services for loans and investments.
The bank has also been instrumental with its ‘tobacco implants’—remote bank branches in key tobacco-growing regions of Zimbabwe that provide financial services to farmers during the tobacco selling season.
