Zimbabwe international Gilroy Takudzwa Chimwemwe is on the verge of joining Democratic Republic of Congo giants TP Mazembe, Zim Now has learnt.
He impressed during his trial stint in the DRC.
Sources close to Chimwemwe confirmed the news to Zim Now Sports
“TP Mazembe management were impressed by him (Chimwemwe). They just need to tie the loose ends of the deal before they make an official announcement,” a close source told Zim Now Sports.
Chimwemwe is a free agent after his contract with Zambian side Nkana Red Devils expired at the end of December.
TP Mazembe is the former home to Golden Eagles midfielder Chris Samakwere, who joined the Congolese side from Monomotapa FC.
