A minor was electrocuted while walking barefooted in flowing water. Confirming the tragedy, police said:
“The ZRP reports a sad incident in which a 15-year-old female juvenile was electrocuted while walking bare-footed in flowing water as she tried to retrieve her sandals which had been swept away.
Investigations are underway.
In another case, the police have reported on a fire incident in which a tanker carrying sulphuric acid caught fire at the 293 km peg along the Beitbridge Bulawayo Road.
The driver had stopped to attend to the vehicle rear wheel which was binding. Noone was injured.
Meanwhile, investigations are under way in a hit and run road traffic accident where an unknown male adult was knocked down by a motorist who did not stop after the accident.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Seke Road and Masotsha Ndlovu Way on Tuesday.
“The victim sustained severe head injuries and was referred to a local hospital for treatment. Anyone with information to contact any nearest Police station,” police said.
