
Zimbabwe’s gold mining sector set a new production record in 2025 after miners delivered 46.7 tonnes of gold to Fidelity Refinery, surpassing the industry target of 40 tonnes.

The deliveries were 28 percent higher than the previous record of 36.5 tonnes achieved in 2024, underscoring strong performance across the sector.
Small-scale miners remained the backbone of gold production, contributing 34.87 tonnes, which accounted for 74.5 percent of total output. Large-scale mining companies delivered the remaining 11.8 tonnes.
