Two Harare men have appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Court facing charges of unlawful entry into premises and theft following a break-in in which a firearm, electronics, clothing and other personal items were stolen.
The accused, Kudakwashe Taonangwere (43) and Eddy Chitsamba (37), allegedly broke into the home of Tendai Pedzisa (41) while he was away at work on November 24, 2025.
The court heard that Pedzisa left his residence secured and unattended in the morning to report for duty. According to the State, the accused took advantage of his absence to execute a calculated housebreaking.
It is alleged that one of the suspects scaled a precast wall surrounding the property before forcing open a dining room window and bending burglar bars to gain entry into the house.
Once inside, the intruder allegedly ransacked several rooms before gaining access to the main bedroom, where he forcibly removed a mounted gun cabinet inside a fitted wardrobe.
