A 26-year-old man, Tinashe Magoche of Stoneridge Park, appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Courts facing allegations of theft.
The complainant is Bhola Hardware, represented by Musiwa Makaza.
According to the State, on February 26, 2026, the complainant reviewed CCTV footage and recognised Magoche as the same individual he had apprehended a month earlier in connection with a separate theft case at the shop.

The court heard that the complainant then monitored Magoche’s movements inside the store and allegedly saw him take a cooler bag from a shelf.
Magoche is said to have passed the till point without paying for the item and was apprehended at the exit.
The value of the allegedly stolen item is US$5.
Magoche is expected to return to courtr today for plea recording.
