After a disappointing cup defeat last weekend, Dynamos are turning their attention to their opening match of the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League season, with coach Genesis 'Kaka' Mangombe confident his side can bounce back against TelOne F C
Dynamos endured a difficult outing last Sunday after suffering a heavy 5–0 defeat to Scottland FC in the Castle Lager Challenge Cup, a match in which the Harare giants failed to field their foreign players due to delays of work permits.
Mangombe admitted the result was disappointing but said the technical team has already shifted focus to the league opener against TelOne.
“It had been a very, very bad time in the office after that defeat but we are recycling the boys ahead of the TelOne game,” said Mangombe.
The Dynamos gaffer explained that cup competitions and league matches require different tactical approaches, adding that his side will adjust accordingly for the upcoming fixture.
“The tactics we use in cup challenges are different from the tactics used in the league and in the TelOne clash we will be ready for it,” he said.

Mangombe also emphasized that the team is working hard to regroup and ensure they begin their league campaign on a positive note.
“We are trying to cycle the boys so that we bring those first three points of the league home,” he added.
Meanwhile, Dynamos chairman Vincent Chawonza confirmed that the club has already applied for work permits for the foreign players, with the process expected to be finalised ahead of the league opener.
“We already applied for the work permits. Those permits were supposed to be released last week before the Scottland game, but there were some delays and they could be collected today,” Chawonza said.
