South African club Kaizer Chiefs is reportedly considering conditions in deciding former Zimbabwe international Khama Billiat’s future.
Billiat has less than six months left on his current contract at the Soweto-based club, which has the leeway to extend it by another year.
There haven’t been any indications that suggest that the club and the player are engaged in contract negotiations.
But according to Soccer Laduma, if Chiefs want to consider retaining the star forward on fresh terms, several factors will have to come into play towards making the final decision on the player’s future with the club.
These factors include salary, the player’s advanced age and his recent injury struggles, which have played a major part in keeping him out of action for a prolonged period.
Billiat, 32, earns big at Naturena, making him one of the highest paid players at Kaizer Chiefs.
Soccer Laduma also noted that Amakhosi are also concerned about Khama’ current form this season after the star forward, who signed from Mamelodi Sundowns in July 2018, registered only a measly four assists this season.
