A Chitungwiza-based finance manager is accused of defrauding her employer of US$34,567.56 by allegedly diverting money meant for supplier payments over a 16-month period.
Rumbidzai Nyamande, 30, who worked as Finance Manager at Nexus Gases, a company owned by Dunexas Investments (Private) Limited, allegedly carried out the scheme between January 2025 and April 2026.
Prosecutors allege that on 27 occasions, Nyamande requested money from the company cashier, claiming it was needed to settle supplier invoices. She allegedly received a total of US$34,567.56 but failed to pay the suppliers, instead converting the funds to her own use.
