A Harare woman, Constilia Bonde, on Wednesday, appeared before Civil Court seeking a peace order against Amos Njonga, whom she accused of threatening and intimidating her during a dispute over the ownership of Stand Number 4285.
Bonde said Njonga came to what she claimed was her father's stand accompanied by builders intending to construct a house.
"He came to my father's stand, which is Stand Number 4285, with some builders to construct a house," she said.
She stated that Njonga used people affiliated with a certain political party to threaten her over the disputed property.
"He used people to threaten me who belong to a certain political party over that stand," said Bonde.
Bonde said she approached the court because she wanted peace and no longer wished to live under threats.
"I want peace and I do not want to be threatened again," she said.
Responding to the application, Njonga opposed the granting of the peace order, maintaining that he was the rightful owner of the stand.

"I was allocated this stand by the municipality and there is a land surveyor with the proof that I am the owner of the stand," he said.
Njonga stated that he was the first person to develop the property before Bonde allegedly damaged it.
"I was the first person who built a house on that stand, but Bonde came and damaged the property," he said.
He urged the court to dismiss the application, arguing that there was already a pending case relating to the alleged damage to the property.
"The peace order should be dismissed because there is already a case before the court over property damages," Njonga said.
In response, Bonde maintained that her application was justified, saying her initial dispute over the stand had been with another individual.
"I am refusing this because he is not the one I referred with on ownership. It was Trust Chiwonga who came first to build on my father's property, then Njonga was the one who destroyed the property," she said.
Bonde told the court that her father bought the stand in 2016, while Njonga claims to have purchased it in 2023.
The magistrate postponed the matter to Thursday for continuation.
