Harare giants Dynamos Football Club have brought in an additional player to the side after signing relegated Harare City centre-back Donald Dzvinyai.

The development confirms that DeMbare coach Herbert Maruwa is determined to overhaul the Harare side following a mass exodus from the squad.

The 31-year-old Dzvinyai joins a host of other newcomers as Maruwa builds a completely new side, but one that is capable of ending Zvishavane-based FC Platinum’s stranglehold on the Castle Lager Premiership.

Dzvinyai has also played for FC Platinum and Triangle FC.

The other players brought in by Maruwa include Kelvin and Elvis Moyo, Aurthur Musiyiwa, Tanaka Shandirwa, Jayden Barake, Emmanuel Ziocha, Donald Mudadi, Nyasha Chintuli, Eli Ilunga and Keith Madera.

Denver Mukamba has also signed a six-month discipline-based contract and has been training with DeMbare.

Dynamos last won the league title under Kalisto Pasuwa in 2014, and the club’s supporters hope to see Maruwa and his technical team that includes Genesis Mangombe and Murape Murape bringing back smiles on their faces.

Last week, DeMbare beat Gweru-based premiership newcomers Sheasham in a friendly match at Ascot Stadium.

Dynamos lost steam in the second half of last season, eventually coming third after Pure Platinum Play bagged their fourth title on the trot. This led to the Glamour Boys’ executive not renewing Tonderai Ndiraya as head coach.
