ZMC in accreditation outreach

The Zimbabwe Media Commission is informing all media practitioners that accreditation of practitioners at the ZMC office shall be closed during the following dates, that is 13th to 15th and 20th to 24th of February 2023.

In a statement, ZMC said it will be carrying out accreditation outreach for all media practitioners in Chinhoyi, Kariba, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls and it is calling upon all media practitioners residing in or around those areas to take advantage and get accredited during this outreach.

The schedule is as follows:

The accreditation of media practitioners in Kariba will take place at the Waterfront on the 13th from 0900-1130 hours and the accreditation in Chinhoyi will take place on the 14th from 1300hours -1700hours at Orange Groove hotel.

In Bulawayo it will take place on the 20th and 21st at Bulawayo Press Club, Royal Hotel and the accreditation will end at 1200hrs on February 21, 2023.

Accreditation of media practitioners in Victoria Falls will take place at the Rainbow Hotel on February 22, 2023.

ZMC said the accreditation outreach is part of the Commission’s drive to bring its services closer to the people in line with the devolution and decentralisation thrust as encapsulated in the National Development Strategy 1 policy document.

It also said the outreach programme is expected to cover all major centres of the country and the Commission will announce in due course, visits to other centres.
