The Premier Soccer League has released the fixtures for the 2023 season which kick-starts mid March with two stadiums having been condemned for not meeting national football association expectations.

In a communique sent out Tuesday, February 28, the PSL Communication and Media Liaison Officer, Kudzai Bare, said:

“The 2023 Castle lager Premier Soccer League season is set to commence on Saturday, 18 March, 2023.

“Please be advised that Ascot and Vengere Stadium have failed to meet the minimum stadium requirements as set by the ZIFA Club Licensing First Instance Body. The stadia will not host PSL matches until necessary requirements are met,” she said.

In what appears to be a big test for recently-promoted clubs, Week One of the season sees new boys Simba Bhora host 2022 champions FC Platinum, while another new entry into the elite league, SheaSham play Chicken Inn.

During the same week, it will also be a battle of the armies as Black Rhinos date Cranborne Bullets. CAPS United host Manica Diamonds and ZPC Kariba will brave a long drive to Bulawayo to fulfil a fixture against Highlanders. The rest of the matches for the first week are as follows:

Yadah v Green Fuel

Bulawayo Chiefs v Ngezi Platinum FC

CAPS United v Manica Diamonds

Triangle FC v Herentals
