The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission on Thursday afternoon arrested National Social Security Authority acting chief executive officer, Charles Shava for an alleged fraud involving $12 246 571, 48.

He is detained at Avondale Police Station and is expected to appear in court on Friday, March 3.

 Reports indicate Shava altered a board resolution that had rejected proposed allowances for four NSSA doctors and, as the acting CEO, caused the human resources manager to pay the allowances without approval. He is said to have  claimed the board had approved the allowances.
