Two men that stole property from Mabelreign have been taken to court.
Elijah Chimunye, of Kuwadzana Extension and Kudakwashe Antonio of Granary Phase 2 appeared before Harare Magistrates' Court facing charges of unlawful entry into premises in aggravating circumstances, contravening Section 131(1)(a) of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act, Chapter 9:23.
The state through Zebediah Bofu alleges that, on February 17, 2023, Chimunye and Antonio unlawfully entered the premises of Gerald Bera at number 3508 Takely Road, Mabelreign, Harare.
It is alleged that they forced open the bedroom door and stole a 65 inch Samsung television, Samsung sound bar, a bluetooth speaker, HP mini laptop, Samsung remotes, DSTV decoder power cables, Samsung galaxy A73, Tecno Spark 5, three male belts, a wrist watch, Calvin Klein boxed perfume, Georgio Armani perfume, dark green monarch, US$92, white and silver power bank, pair of white and grey ladies sneakers, two pairs size 9 and 10 sneakers and a black dress.
Magistrate Evelyn Mashavakure who presided over the matter gave ZWL$20 000 bail each. They were ordered to report every Friday to the nearest police.
