Four Chikomba cattle rustlers remanded for continuation of trial

Four suspected cattle rustlers who reportedly stole cand deboned two beasts have been remanded for continuation of trial by Chivhu magistrate Sharon Nxogo.

Edmore Chipangure, 33, Isaac Masango Sithole, 23, Cephas Joaquim, 28, and Ezekiel Mhosva, 26, are accused of stealing Phenius Musemani’s two beasts and deboning them.

The quartet allegedly drove the beasts from Musemani’s kraal at night and deboned the beasts at their residence and left hides and heads which were identified by Musemani, leading to their arrest.

Prosecutor Ray Tsikayi told the court that the incident happened on March 3, 2023, at Wallas Farm in Plot 17, Chikomba.

The four drove two black oxen from Musemani’s kraal to Calals Farm where they slaughtered and deboned them before packing the meat into sacks.

Their accomplice only identified as Wessy carried the meat in a Toyota Wish vehicle an unknown destination.

Musemani discovered that his two black beasts were missing from the kraal the following day and he filed a report with the police.

Police officers attended the scene and discovered two cattle heads at Calas Farm which Musemani was able to identify and further investigations led to the four’s arrest.
