Eubert Angel presser put on hold as Al Jazeera fails to meet 12pm broadcasting schedule

The press conference earlier scheduled by Eubert Angel’s lawyer Lovemore Madhuku to respond to the Gold Mafia series has been put on hold because Aljazeera, the broadcaster that has produced and has been airing the documentary, had not posted the fourth and final episode as per the expectation.

The press event was supposed to take place at the Media Centre in Harare on Thursday at 2pm, but Madhuku had to apologise to attendees because of the development that had led to the postponement.

“At 2pm we were expecting the Aljazeera fourth and last episode would have been aired around 12pm with a view that I would make a statement on behalf of my client as per my instructions. Unfortunately, that has not been the case because my instructions are to do the statement from my client after the airing.

“I am sorry I can’t proceed and will have to convene a press conference after the last broadcast. I therefore plead with you to understand,” Madhuku told those present.
