Man in court for killing brother

A Chitungwiza man who mistakenly killed his brother by pushing him to the ground with his head while trying to prevent him from harming his daughter has been taken to court.

Shepherd Zvada, 45, of Chitungwiza appeared before magistrate Dennis Mangosi at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts accused of murder.

The State through, Zebediah Bofu, alleges that on December 29, 2022 at around 2200 hours, Zvada came from a bar with the now deceased Alois Zvada.

Shepherd wanted to discipline his daughter who was misbehaving.

As he tried to beat his daughter with a stick, the now deceased grabbed Shepherd in an effort to stop him from assaulting his daughter.

Shepherd then pushed Alois, who hit the ground with his head and started bleeding. Shepherd hired a car which ferried Alois to Chitungwiza Central Hospital for treatment.

Alois succumbed to the injuries on January, 31, 2023.
