Police in Zaka are looking for a 27-year-old man, Tinashe Tarwa, who allegedly killed a 19-year-old bar patron for kicking a plate of sadza a minor was eating from.
Tarwa of Mushayavanhu Village allegedly stabbed Tawanda Mazorodze of Chivasa Village under Chief Ndanga once on the left side of the head and once on the right side of the chest.
Masvingo Police Spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa confirmed the incident.
The incident happened on Saturday around 5pm at Mandenya Bottle Store at Muregi Business Centre.
Allegations are that Mazorodze arrived at the bar and laughed at a boy,16, who was eating sadza in the bar.
He allegedly described him as an abnormal eater, and the boy went to eat his sadza outside the bar.
The two began fighting when Mazorodze followed the boy outside the bar and kicked his plate.
Tarwa then came out of the bar armed with an okapi knife and stabbed Mazorodze in the head and chest.
Mazorodze fell and Tarwa ran away.
The body was taken to Ndanga Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
