Coca-Cola Four Minute Mile Challenge organisers have announced that the winning prize for this year will be ZWL$800 000.
Set for this Saturday at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Main Arena, the race for top prize will likely be a tough one.
Defending champion Wellington Varevi face off challenges from aspirants who managed to beat the qualifying heats limit of four minutes and 31 seconds.
These include Munyaradzi Zizhou, Mthokozisi Mhlanga, Nyasha Mutsetse, Levison Mapfuwa, Nomore Wiriki, Trust Hove, Godwin Katakura, Munashe Mundure, Bornface Jeki, Isaac Mpofu and Blessmore Chidziva.
The organisers have said that consolation tokens will include cash prizes for all those who make it into the top ten.
