"Small house" faces attempted murder charges after stabbing "big house"

An-18-year-old woman from Eastview Phase 8 is expected to appear in court after she stabbed her boyfriend’s wife.

Acknowledge Macksen,18, stabbed Patience June,27, who had confronted her of having an affair with her husband after discovering messages on her husband’s phone.

Macksen stabbed June in the back, arm and sliced her lips after a violent fight broke out between the two.

The police were called to the scene, and Macksen was arrested on charges of attempted murder.

Acting Harare provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Webster Dzvova, confirmed the arrest and said that Acknowledge is expected to appear in court.

“Circumstances were that the complainant approached the accused person at her place of residence, accusing her of having an affair with her husband.

“The complainant claimed that she had found some love messages from her in her husband’s cellphone.

“An exchange of words ensued and the accused person was reported to have used a knife to cut the complainant on the mouth, left arm and stabbed the complainant in the back and stomach, resulting in heavy bleeding,” he said.

Patience was rushed to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospital in critical condition where she underwent surgery and was discharged the following day.

She is currently recovering at home with the help of her husband, Wellington.

A neighbour who wished to remain anonymous said, “It’s sad that this happened because it could have been prevented if they had communicated better. It’s not worth it to resort to violence.”
