Police on hunt for man who raped neighbour's minor...

A Dzivarasekwa man raped his neighbour’s 13-year-old daughter sometime last month after the girl declined his love proposal.

Tichaona Mangido threatened to kill the girl and her parents if she disclosed the ordeal to anyone.

The g13-year-old was fetching water from the outside sink when Tichaona proposed love to her and she rejected.

After a few minutes, the girl went into the toilet intending to take more containers to fill up and Tichaona followed her.

He threatened to kill her and her parents if she refused to have sexual intercourse with him and raped her.

Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, said the girl informed her mother on Saturday.

“Police are investigating a rape case involving a minor in Dzivarasekwa 3.

“The victim was referred to Parirenyatwa Hospital for medical examination and the perpetrator is yet to be arrested,” Insp Chakanza said.
