Former Highlanders coach Erol Akbay has confirmed that he is interested to be the next Dynamos coach.

Akbay told Zim Now from his base in Netherlands that he is ready to take over at DeMbare if the Glamour Boys executive accepts his CV.

“Dynamos is a big club in Zimbabwe and Africa. I think I have submitted my CV to the Dynamos chairman. I am available if there is a possibility to work at Dynamos,” Akbay told Zim Now Sports.

The veteran gaffer said he has been following Dynamos recently and believes that the club has technical players who can suit his type of play.

“There are a lot of technical players at Dynamos who can suit my type of play, I always start it from the back and play one-touch football, this is modern football. Look at Manchester United and Manchester City when they score, they would have played one-touch football. That is the type of play I will introduce at Dynamos,” Akbay added

Several coaches have applied for the DeMbare job following the dismissal of Herbert Maruwa.

Dynamos named Genesis Mangombe interim coach with Lloyd Chigowe as his assistant.

DeMbare takes on Simba Bhora in the Chibuku Super Cup on Saturday.
