Dynamos FC face a daunting task this weekend as they travel to Barbourfields Stadium to take on a high-flying Chicken Inn FC. The Glamour Boys, currently languishing in 11th place, are in desperate need of a turnaround, but their quest for points is hampered by injuries and a suspension.
Three key players - Tanaka Shandirwa and Frank Makarati (both injured) and Emmanuel Jalayi (suspended) - will be unavailable for Dynamos.
However, head coach Genesis Mangombe remains optimistic, viewing this as an opportunity to unleash some fresh faces.
“We have some injuries, but we also have some boys who proved themselves that they can also play,” Mangombe told Zim Now.
“Since they are registered, it’s an opportunity for them to prove themselves that they can also play for Dynamos.”
These injuries have opened the door for unproven players to make their mark in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League. Coach Mangombe is confident of their abilities, stating: “The new boys are geared up for the game.”
The clash promises to be a tense affair. Dynamos, desperate for points, will be relying heavily on their untested youngsters to overcome a formidable Chicken Inn side. The outcome of this match could be a turning point for both teams in their pursuit of success in the league.
