MSC collections Private Limited has taken its former administrator to court, accusing her of changing their Facebook page account to one for sex and relationships.
Faith Ratidzo Chaitezvi, 33, of Greendale appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Courts on allegations of transmission of false data messages intending to cause harm.
The complainant in this matter is MSC Collections Private Limited represented by the manager, David Matindike.
Chaitezvi was employed as an administrator by MSC collections.
During the time she was employed, Chaitezvi had the credentials to log on to MCS’s Facebook account.
Her duties as the administrator of the Facebook page were to send messages on behalf of the company among other services.
Chaitezvi’s employment was terminated due to misconduct and she was supposed to hand over all her credentials to the company, but instead, she changed the company’s Facebook page from MCS Collections Private Limited to Social Vibes.
Chaitezvi went on to transmit false data messages on the Facebook page of MSC with the alleged intent to harm the stating that the Facebook page was now for sex and relationships.
The offence was discovered after some of MSC’s clients showed discontentment to one of the directors about the messages that had been sent by Chaitezvi.
When the company director visited the page, he was notified that Chaitezvi had changed the company’s Facebook page from MCS Collections to Social Vibes.
He also realised that he had been barred from contributing as an administrator as he had lost all the rights.
Chaitezvi was remanded to September 28.
