Reports from the scene say that for now the situation is under control with a heavy police presence in the area.
However, there are still a few incidents of police chasing away insistent vendors who want to come back to their illegal posts.
City of Harare have indicated that they will reopen Mupedzanhamo Market next week.

The skirmishes that have been going on sporadically for a few weeks and broke out into wholesale violence and destruction last Friday are reportedly between Zanu PF and CCC thugs fighting over control of vending space in Mbare.
Vending licenses should be dispensed by City of Harare but space barons have effectively taken over.
