The Zimbabwe Republic Police say they are investigating a case of assault captured in a video that has gone viral on social media.
“The ZRP confirms that investigations are being conducted in connection with a video which has gone viral in which two men are seen viciously assaulting a victim for allegedly stealing from them in the Nyatsime area.
Police said the video shows individuals wearing ZANU PF shirts violently attacking the alleged thief.
The victim can be heard denying the accusation and pleading for his life, but one of the assailants responds by threatening him with death over a stolen speaker.
“The report further states that further details will be provided as the investigation progresses,” police said.
