Former Sports Minister David Coltart has been elected Bulawayo mayor. In a congratulatory message on social media, former CCC national spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere said of the development:
“Congratulations @ DavidColtart on being elected mayor of Bulawayo. Here’s wishing you the best in your tenure and hoping the residents, business and all stakeholders will benefit immensely from your passion for this great city.”
Coltart’s ascension to the local authority’s top position was expected as indications were made earlier by CCC leader Nelson Chamisa that he would want the legal practitioner to lead Bulawayo.
